Signs of a Slipping Transmission

Last updated 1 year ago

Transmission slippage is a common problem that occurs to both manual and automatic transmissions. To find out what causes a car’s transmission to slip, and how to get it fixed, watch the video clip.

Slippage occurs when the clutch bands begin to lose their grip. If you experience problems such as difficulty accelerating when you step on the gas or an increase in engine speed without an increase in vehicle speed, you could have a slipping transmission. This might be caused by blockages in the valve body, a lack of transmission fluid, or even worn out clutch bands.

To get your car’s transmission serviced or repaired, take it into Brake Specialists Plus of Austin. For more information, give us a call at (512) 795-4063.
